Alert! Due to a family matter I cannot attend this years Midwest bonsai show at the Chicago Botanic Gardens the 3rd weekend in August. I hope to return next year.

I will be attending the International Bonsai Fall Symposium the weekend after Labor Day in Rochester, NY. This year’s focus is on collected trees, so I thought I’d better be there.

And finally, a little closer to home, in late September I’ll be giving a presentation on collecting from the wild to the Billings Bonsai Society in Billings, Montana.
